Advanced Wi-Fi 7
Access Point The UniFi U7
Lite is Ubiquiti's new addition to its access point lineup, bringing the
cutting-edge Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) technology to both home and small
business environments. This device offers significant advancements over
its predecessors, such as the U6-Lite, by delivering enhanced speed,
reduced latency, and improved network efficiency. With a sleek, compact
design measuring Ø171.5 x 33 mm, the U7 Lite seamlessly integrates into
various settings, providing robust wireless coverage across areas up to
115 m². Its support for Wi-Fi 7 ensures users experience faster data
rates and more reliable connections, catering to the increasing demands
of modern wireless applications. The device is powered via PoE, adhering
to the 802.3af standard, which simplifies deployment by reducing the
need for additional power outlets. Consuming only 13W at maximum, the U7
Lite delivers energy efficiency without sacrificing performance, making
it a perfect upgrade for modern Wi-Fi networks.
Equipped with dual-band
capabilities, the U7 Lite operates on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz
frequencies, utilizing 2x2 (DL/UL MU-MIMO) spatial streams for efficient
data transmission. The 5 GHz band supports channel widths up to 240 MHz,
achieving maximum data rates of 4.3 Gbps, while the 2.4 GHz band offers
speeds up to 688 Mbps with 40 MHz bandwidth. This access point is
designed to handle over 200 concurrent clients, making it suitable for
environments with high device density. The inclusion of a 2.5 GbE RJ45
uplink port ensures high-speed wired connectivity, complementing the
advanced wireless features. Constructed with UV-stabilized
polycarbonate, the U7 Lite is built to withstand various environmental
conditions, operating efficiently within temperatures ranging from -30°C
to 40°C. Its compact form factor and versatile mounting options (ceiling
or wall) allow for flexible installation in diverse settings.
Advanced Features
The U7 Lite incorporates a
suite of advanced networking features to enhance user experience and
network performance. It supports wireless meshing, band steering, and
technologies like 802.11v BSS Transition Management, 802.11r Fast
Roaming, and 802.11k Radio Resource Management, ensuring seamless
connectivity and optimal resource utilization. For network security and
customization, features such as captive hotspot portals, voucher and
payment-based authentication, and guest network isolation are available.
These capabilities are easily managed through the UniFi Network
Application, providing administrators with intuitive control over
network settings and performance metrics.
