ASUS ROG Xbox Ally (2025) RC73YA-NH002W AMD Ryzen Z2 A 16GB RAM 512GB SSD 7" Windows 11 Home Gaming Handheld Console PC

Been looking at this for ages as an alternative to my desktop pc. Its an incredible device, a lot lighter than I imagined and comfortable to hold. So far I've had tons of fun with it playing some games and setting it up to unlock more potential, screen looks amazing even though it's not an OLED, as are the speakers, was fully expecting i would need to use headphones but the built in speakers are excellent.

Im looking forward to spending much more time with the Ally..

It doesn’t work very well, the power of the processor or whatever you call it doesn’t allow you to play larger games and the online for things like cod or battlefield is so laggy that you can’t play.

Best purchase it is fantastic. Not as heavy as I thought very well built. The fact that you can use windows 11 and Xbox is great. You can also have other gaming platforms like ea. you can charge it using any usb c. Just won’t charge fast unless you have 65W and above.

You can customise your gaming experience too

Excellent for those joining the mobile PC market from console, interface is great, controls feel like the xbox controller and being able to see all your games from all platforms in one place is a nice feature

The quality of the rog ally is really good.

But the performance is not what I was expecting the inferce is a little complicated at first and I was expecting it to run most top played games well

But the frame rate drops quite a substantial amount and the amount of updates you have to do before you can use it is a little frustrating the windows side to the rog alley is good, but the xbox side to it is it a little bit off for what I was expecting it's more like a lower end laptop than xbox console for game play.

It's good for netflix, youtube surfing on the web.But when it comes to gaming it's not that good it's ok if you're playing the lower tier games that have been out for a good couple of years, but anything new, it just can't handle it battery Life could be better as well watching Netflix. You have about 2 and a half hours playing games you get about 1 hour 30
