I bought this to build a Windows 11 PC for my grandson. I wanted it to have sufficient power for gaming, graphic and video editing and coding in the future.

For supportability it needed to be Windows 11 compatible.

This board meets all my requirements and I have installed an Intel Core i5 processor, 32GB of RAM (that's the maximum this board will take) and a Geforce RTX 2060 GPU.

I had to add a TPM 2.0 module for W11 compatibility.

The build was straightforward with everything going together easily, the only issue being that the GPU slightly catches on the TPM module, but not enough to affect operation. That's my fault for not checking the length of the GPU beforehand.

If I have a criticism, it's that there are only 2 fan headers, one for the CPU and one for case fans. The case fan header will only supply 1A so a maximum of 3 fans could be run from a splitter without supplementary power.

Both 3- and 4-pin fans are supported, with the motherboard auto-sensing whether to use PWM or DC control. I have 5 fans so I had to get an additional fan hub with SATA power input. The hub plugs into the case fan header so the board still controls the fan speed. In normal operation the fans run so slowly that they are silent.

All in all, I am very pleased with the board. Just knocking one star off for the limited fan headers.

Great MB for a budget build

A great motherboard, highly recommend.

There are in my own view some drawbacks to this particular motherboard.

It has WiFi capability but the likely result would be more heat when running. And the WiFi unit is rather bulky on the board.

It appears to be somewhat comlicated to obtain a suitable CPU and DDR5 volatile memory that are supported by the motherboard.

But operhaps it is that myself am too old or perhaps simply not clever enough to match the above components. Still have to get the CPU.
